The Business:
Our client is an exciting software business that is working to deliver on a most efficient and climate-friendly solution to transport issues. This is achieved through the use of cutting-edge software that digitalizes work processes and optimizes on-road services.

About the Position:
This business is on the hunt for a mid-level DevOps Engineer. At current there is a new infra platform is being created, the successful candidates’ first projects will be to assist in the creation of this. This role is a very autonomous position so the ability to work in a team, as well as independently, will be highly regarded.

About you

  • A well-seasoned AWS guru (certs are advantageous).
  • Strong scripting experience in multiple languages ie Python, Bash, and AWS infrastructure
  • Experience with Self-hosted environments or Azure is highly regarded but not essential.
  • Delivery technologies and CDN’s and or CI/CD pipelines
  • Experience working with agile methodologies
  • 4 + years experience working in DevOps

Some interesting facts;

  • They just won the contract for the Common Wealth games for the next 3 years hence the growth! They will be the main fleet management system getting officials around, players and VIP’s
  • The focus is on social good and sustainability. There is so much inefficiency in transport and with the games they can get 900 vehicles normally in use to 600 at least by using the data to optimise their resources
  • Countdown is on 233 days until then so they are under the pump
  • Long term and historically they specialise across Public transport also work in aged/home care and with cancer providers
  • They do have candidate favorable ESOP options
  • They have a very flexible WFH arrangement where staff are asked to head in 3 times over a fortnight
