We are seeking to fill the ongoing role of Senior Systems Administrator (EL 1) within the Technology Operations Section as a part of the Digital Branch. Whilst this is a specialist technical role, it is a senior role, and it forms part of the Section’s leadership team.

Key Duties:

  • Develop, administer and maintain VMWare virtual infrastructure (storage, network)
  • Manage and support business continuity/disaster recovery infrastructure
  • Collaborate with SMEs and vendors on virtual infrastructure installation, upgrades, configuration, tuning and troubleshooting
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills to collaborate effectively with stakeholders

Required Skills/Experience:

  • Extensive expertise in supporting/maintaining NLA systems and infrastructure (servers, storage, virtualisation, networks, databases, BCP, cloud)
  • 3-5 years experience as a Systems Administrator
  • Tertiary qualifications and/or certifications in IT specialisation highly regarded


  • Minimum Baseline clearance required
  • Relevant qualifications and experience

This role will ideally suit someone who has extensive subject matter expertise relevant to supporting and maintaining the internal systems and infrastructure. This includes one or more of the following: server, storage, virtual, networks, databases, BCP and cloud as relevant to role requirements.
