We are seeking an experienced IT Technical Writer to support an enterprise-critical insurance claims and premium management system. This platform provides a centralised and scalable environment for managing the full insurance lifecycle and is used across multiple business units.
This role will be responsible for developing, consolidating, and maintaining high-quality technical documentation to support developers, testers, business analysts, and support teams. The successful candidate will transform complex technical information into clear, structured, and accessible resources.
Key Responsibilities Documentation Development & Maintenance.
- Develop comprehensive documentation including tutorials, how-to guides, and technical reference materials.
- Consolidate existing documentation from platforms such as SharePoint and Confluence into a unified, well-structured repository.
- Ensure documentation is accurate, clear, current, and aligned with best practices.
- Translate complex technical concepts into accessible content tailored to different audiences.
Collaboration
- Work closely with developers, testers, support engineers, and subject matter experts to gather required information.
- Support cross-functional teams by ensuring documentation enhances efficiency and adherence to best practices.
Documentation Standards & Governance
- Apply structured writing principles and documentation best practices.
- Implement scalable documentation processes to ensure materials remain maintainable and consistent.
- Establish standards for documentation quality and structure.
Content & Repository Management
- Design and build an easily navigable documentation repository.
- Provide recommendations for continuous improvement of documentation platforms and processes.
Required Qualifications & Experience Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
Experience
- Minimum 4 years’ experience as a Technical Writer in enterprise software environments.
- Proven experience documenting systems for technical audiences (developers, testers, support teams).
- Demonstrated ability to consolidate documentation from multiple sources into cohesive formats.
- Experience delivering high-quality documentation within time-sensitive environments.
- Experience in insurance or financial services industries is highly regarded.
- Familiarity with claims or customer management systems is advantageous.
- Experience using Generative AI to enhance documentation is desirable.
Technical Skills
- Strong expertise in documenting complex enterprise systems.
- Proficiency with Confluence, SharePoint, and other content management tools.

- AWS cloud infrastructure and Docker

- Oracle databases, including stored procedures and triggers
