We’re working with a growing national organisation that’s making a real difference across Australia. With staff numbers tripling in the last few years, they’re now looking for an Application Support Specialist to help their people get the most out of the business systems that keep everything running.
The Role
We’re looking for an Application Support Specialist to provide business-facing support across a range of core applications (CRM, HR, Marketing, LMS, etc.). In this role, you will be responsible for helping staff use systems effectively through training, documentation, and clear communication – as well as handling day-to-day troubleshooting and escalating more complex issues to the technical team.
What you’ll be doing
- Supporting staff across multiple offices and remote sites around Australia.
- Acting as the go-to person for a mix of core business applications.
- Providing clear training and support – running inductions, 1:1s, lunch-and-learns, and putting together guides, FAQs, and short videos.
- Translating technical documentation into layman’s terms so it’s easy for non-technical users.
- Troubleshooting and resolving day-to-day issues, with more complex problems escalated to the internal tech team.
- Helping staff with data-related tasks, queries, and reporting.
- Keeping training materials and documentation up to date as systems evolve.
Requirements
- Experience supporting business applications (not just IT Helpdesk).
- Strong communication skills and the ability to explain systems in layman’s terms.
- Exposure to databases or querying data (SQL experience ideal).
- A proactive approach to documentation, training, and user enablement.
