Our client is in search of an experienced Azure Migration Specialist to join their team. In this role, you will be tasked with planning, executing, and managing the migration of their data, applications, and services to the Azure cloud infrastructure. Your expertise in cloud computing and data migration will be essential in ensuring a seamless and efficient transition with minimal disruption.
The Role:
- We are looking for a highly skilled Azure Application, Data, and Compute Migration specialist with extensive experience and knowledge in Azure.
- Responsibilities include establishing processes, runbooks, scripts, templates, etc., for migrations.
- Experience with Azure SQL, Azure Files, and Azure Migrate is highly desirable.
- Proficient in managing data and compute migrations from legacy, on-prem environments to Azure cloud environments.
- Involvement in automation and configuration management.
Requirements:
- Candidates must be based in Brisbane and available to start within an immediate to two-week period.
- Ideally, candidates should have experience in the Mining, Energy, or Oil & Gas sectors.
- Must have recent experience (within the last 3 years) in Azure compute and file migrations.
- Broad and extensive experience with Azure and migrations to Azure cloud environments.
- Proficient with Azure Migrate and conducting migration workload readiness assessments.
- Knowledgeable in Azure SQL database migration and management.
- Strong understanding of Azure Cloud architecture and services, particularly IaaS and PaaS solutions.
- Expertise across M365, Azure AD, Azure, etc.
- Background in virtualisation and Microsoft Windows technologies.
- Strong communication and documentation skills.
- Proficiency with on-premise storage solutions
Brisbane-based, with a hybrid work model requiring presence in the office three days per week to foster collaboration and stakeholder engagement.
