About the Role
We are supporting a mission-driven organisation looking for a pragmatic and people-focused Software Development Manager to lead their digital platforms team. You’ll guide multiple projects, including initiatives like a single digital front door, and have the freedom to decide how solutions are built, what tools to use, and which approaches make sense.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Lead and support a team of software developers, helping them grow and succeed
- Run agile rituals like sprints, stand-ups, and retrospectives
- Make decisions on technical approaches, architecture and tools
- Collaborate closely with stakeholders across the business
- Oversee delivery of several digital initiatives, ensuring quality outcomes
- Foster a positive, innovative, and collaborative team culture
What We’re Looking For
- Experienced in leading software teams in an agile environment
- Comfortable guiding technical solutions and mentoring staff
- Strong understanding of .NET, React, Typescript, REST APIs, SQL
- Familiar with DevOps, CI/CD, and cloud platforms (Azure)
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Pragmatic, adaptable, and calm under pressure
- Experience in healthcare, education, or not-for-profit is a bonus
