Are you a seasoned DevOps Engineer with a knack for navigating complex environments and delivering impactful results? We are seeking a highly skilled professional to join our client’s dynamic team. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in fast-paced settings and has extensive hands-on experience in migration projects.
This is a 100% WFH, the team is based in Brisbane and they are looking for somebody that is located within Queensland. This environment is heavily on-prem focused compared to public cloud.
Key Responsibilities:
- Take on a hands-on architect role, managing end-to-end projects.
- Utilize your extensive on-prem experience to run your own infrastructure, rather than relying on hyperscale solutions.
- Lead the migration of legacy workloads, drawing from your experience in chaotic and complex environments to identify pain points and implement effective solutions.
- Collaborate with technology managers and the wider network engineering team to ensure seamless transitions and efficient data migration processes.
Required Experience:
- Extensive experience with on-prem Kubernetes (K8s), Docker Swarm, Docker, and containerized workloads.
- Have extensive and recent experience with on-prem technologies
- Proficiency with PostgreSQL databases.
- Expertise in CI/CD pipeline creation and management.
- Strong skills in workload and dependency mapping.
- Proven track record in migrating workloads and associated dependencies (database/message bus).
- Familiarity with Debian/Ubuntu operating systems.
- Less focus on hyperscaler platforms, must have on-prem experience.
- Experienced with Docker (ideally legacy) and Kubernetes.
- Located in Queensland.
- Available to start within 1-2 weeks.
