Help Desk / Support, IT & Telecomms

We’re partnering with a well‑known Queensland organisation that provides meaningful support to communities across the state. They’re looking for a Service Desk Contractor to assist the team for an initial 1–2 month period, with a strong likelihood of extension and potential for permanency.

The Role
As a Service Desk Officer, your focus will be on L1–L2 support, specifically helping with onboarding, basic access requests, and user support. This role is onsite in North Brisbane with free parking and sits within a larger, well‑structured IT team.
  
What You’ll Be Doing
L1–L2 Technical Support

  • Manage account unlocks, password resets, and the bulk of account provisioning/deprovisioning.
  • Set up and decommission laptops, phones & SIMs as part of the onboarding/offboarding process.
  • Administer application access, distribution lists, and updates.
  • Work extensively with Active Directory for user and device management.
  • Provide clear, customer-focused support to internal users (in person, online, and phone‑based).
  • Log tickets and follow ITIL-aligned processes.

About You
You’ll be a confident, proactive support technician with:

  • Experience in a Service Desk or IT Support role (L1–L2).
  • Strong understanding of Windows, O365, and Active Directory.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Logical troubleshooting ability and a calm approach under pressure.

Requirements:

  • Based in Brisbane
  • Can start within a two week notice period
  • 2 years’ experience providing L1 & L2 Windows/Microsoft Support in both a face to face and remote setting.
  • Bespoke applications idea.
