The Opportunity
I’m partnering with a Managed Services provider in Brisbane to find a Systems Admin to join their technical services team. This is a hands-on role supporting and improving customer environments across Microsoft, networking, security, and virtualisation.
You’ll be working across Windows Server, Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Intune, Azure, firewalls, and backup platforms, using enterprise tooling to resolve incidents, improve systems, and drive operational efficiency.

What You’ll Be Doing
- Triage and resolve incidents, requests, changes and problems via RMM and ITSM tools
- Support Windows Server and desktop environments
- Manage and support Microsoft 365, Exchange Online, SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams, Entra ID and Intune
- Remediate alerts and failed backups (Veeam / 11:11) to agreed SLAs
- Manage and improve toolsets including ThreatLocker, AlertOps, ConnectWise, PRTG, Backup Radar
- Support and maintain virtualised platforms (VMware, Hyper-V, HCI)
- Work with firewalls, VPNs, routing, switching and wireless (Cisco, Meraki, Fortinet)
- Create KBs, SOPs and technical documentation
- Drive efficiency through automation and better use of tooling
What I’m Looking For
- 3+ years’ experience as a Systems Engineer (MSP experience preferred)
- Strong Microsoft stack experience – Windows Server, Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Intune, Azure AD
- Virtualisation experience – VMware, Hyper-V, HCI
- Networking experience – firewalls, VPNs, IPS, routing, switching, wireless
- Experience with RMM tools for monitoring, patching and alerting
- Working knowledge of ITIL and structured ITSM environments
- Fortinet experience (NSE4+ highly regarded)
- Microsoft certs desirable (AZ-900, AZ-104, MS-900, MS-102)
- Clear communication skills
