The Opportunity
We’re a growing managed services provider operating across Queensland, and we’re looking for an experienced Level 3 Systems Engineer to join the team.
This role suits someone who enjoys solving complex technical problems, working across infrastructure and cloud environments, and contributing to broader improvements in how services are delivered.
You’ll play a key role in both escalations and project delivery, while helping lift capability across the team through mentoring, knowledge sharing and process improvement.
The business is actively evolving toward a more proactive, automation-driven service model, and this role will be central to that shift.
What You’ll Be Doing
Day to day, you will:
- Handle complex escalations across Windows Server, Azure, M365, networking and core infrastructure
- Deliver technical projects including firmware upgrades, device deployments, backup remediation and change management
- Support and occasionally participate in phone queue overflow (~25%), with a longer-term shift toward project and escalation focus
- Mentor Level 1 and Level 2 engineers and support technical development across the team
- Contribute to documentation, standards and continuous improvement initiatives
- Support automation, monitoring improvements and proactive service initiatives
- Work closely with internal teams to reduce repeat incidents and improve service quality
What We’re Looking For
- Strong experience in L3 support or senior infrastructure role within MSP or enterprise environments
- Solid hands-on knowledge of Windows Server, Azure, M365 and networking
- Experience with backup systems, disaster recovery and troubleshooting complex infrastructure issues
- Exposure to change management and project delivery (upgrades, deployments, migrations)
- Experience with Hyper-V or VMware highly regarded
- Strong troubleshooting capability across hybrid cloud and on-prem environments

Requirements & Eligibility
- Full Australian working rights (citizenship preferred for some contracts)
- Ability to pass Police Check and Working With Children Check (Department of Education work)
- Valid Queensland driver’s licence and willingness to attend site as required
- Experience in a senior / Level 3 technical role (MSP or enterprise)
