What You’ll Be Doing

  • Maintain, harden, and improve the reliability and performance of Microsoft services (M365, Entra, Intune, Windows Server).
  • Build and enhance automation pipelines that support CI/CD and modern engineering practices.
  • Manage identity, access, and compliance across Entra ID: Conditional Access, MFA, PIM.
  • Own escalations from the operations team and drive them to resolution—root cause, not Band‑Aids.
  • Work closely with Product Owners to design long-term solutions to recurring issues.
  • Lead and mentor others as the SME for Windows Server, Endpoint, and automation.
  • Maintain Intune: Autopilot setups, configuration profiles, compliance policies, and device security posture.
  • Ensure monitoring, alerting, and logging are modern, tuned, and actually useful.

Required to be considered:

  • Due to checks and clearances, only Candidates with an Australian Citizenship will be considered for this role.
  • 5+ years in Microsoft Server engineering within enterprise or complex environments.
  • Strong background in designing and deploying large-scale, multi-site Windows Server environments.
  • Hands‑on experience with remote automated deployments and configuration management.
  • Deep automation experience—especially with PowerShell.
  • Strong ability to analyse reliability issues and implement long-term fixes.
  • Experience maintaining monitoring and alerting across hybrid Microsoft environments.
  • Solid understanding of storage technologies.
  • Clear documentation habits—process, procedures, and knowledge transfer.
  • Experience with system hardening, vulnerability remediation, and security management.
  • Exposure to DevOps practices: CI/CD pipelines, version control, automation frameworks.
  • Understanding of HA/failover, load balancing, and distributed Windows environments.
