Our client is a Brisbane-based technology company located within the eastern suburbs with clients local to Brisbane and spanning nationwide. They are experts in IT infrastructure and are able to offer their clients new and innovative solutions to exceed expectations of what can be done to improve the technology landscape in a business.

About the role
Coming into this business you’ll play a key role in configuring, tuning, and administering various environments. Acting as an escalation point for support engineers, you’ll drive automation, quality improvements, and contribute to continuous service enhancements. You’ll also work closely with customers, providing technical service and support, and assisting with solution design.

Note: This role will be split across BAU (Final Escalation Point) and Project work (Delivering Projects) 

What you’ll be doing:

  • Act as the final escalation point for the support team.
  • Deliver projects and implement technical solutions.
  • Configure, tune, and manage Windows and Azure environments.
  • Build and deliver solutions across servers, cloud, and networking.
  • Configure and manage firewalls and networking gear (Aruba, Palo Alto, FortiGate, Sophos, highly regarded).
  • Drive automation, service quality, and process improvements.

What we’re looking for:

  • Strong Microsoft Windows stack background (Windows Server, Azure).
  • Experience building and delivering technical solutions.
  • Networking/firewall configuration experience.
  • Previous MSP experience (highly regarded).
  • Excellent attention to detail, problem-solving mindset, and a “can-do” attitude.
  • Friendly, approachable, and able to work autonomously.
