We’re working with a large, enterprise-scale organisation looking for a Senior ServiceNow Developer to step into a critical contract role supporting and enhancing their platform during a key period.
This is a hands-on, individual contributor role — ideal for someone who can quickly get across an existing environment, deliver changes, and keep the platform running smoothly while supporting an upcoming upgrade.

The role
This is a backfill for a key team member, so you’ll need to hit the ground running across both project delivery and BAU support.
You’ll be responsible for:
- Making enhancements and changes to the existing ServiceNow platform
- Managing deployments and releases into ServiceNow
- Supporting the upgrade to the latest platform version
- Picking up BAU support across the environment
- Developing and maintaining workflows, automations and configurations
- Troubleshooting issues and ensuring platform stability and performance
- Working within established governance, compliance and change control frameworks
You’ll also work closely with an external ServiceNow partner, so being comfortable operating in a vendor-supported delivery model is key.
What you bring
- Strong, hands-on experience as a ServiceNow Developer in enterprise environments
- Proven capability across:
- Business Rules, Client Scripts, UI Policies, UI Actions
- ServiceNow scripting (JavaScript, Glide APIs)
- Workflow / Flow Designer (including complex flows)
- Experience managing deployments, releases and platform upgrades
- Ability to balance BAU support with project-based delivery
- Experience working alongside delivery partners / vendors and managing expectations
- Comfortable working in structured, governance-heavy environments
- Solid grounding in web technologies (JavaScript, HTML, CSS) and integrations (APIs/services)
Working environment
- Initially onsite to ramp up, build context and relationships
- Transition to hybrid working once established
- Flexibility to work across multiple sites if more convenient
